Iapyx has 28000 HP and resists wind and thunder. I’ll start with the one spell it can use : Air thrust. It can use this spell eight times initially but can get more TP with its physical attacks with its legs and feathers. Please note that the feathers have the wind element and can come from two attacks : Feather shot and React feather (once it’s lost half its health). That boss also has a weird super armour, it doesn’t seem to exist while using some moves and is there during other moves, that’s weird. I could get some levels and lower my strength but chose the yolo solution and stayed at the level I got from Windmaster and keeping my strength as is because Iapyx’s bulk is pretty high. This was a pretty hard battle to get a clean take because I still need to manage TP quite a bit, and I still don’t like its penetrate. I’m trying to use as many normal attacks as possible to gain some TP back, while using Crescent moon, Eagle dive and Swallow kick (if Iapyx is in a corner) to extend combos to maximize damage as much as possible because there’s a soft timer : Iapyx only has enough TP to use it eight times, as I said earlier, but I have to succeed with my combos and spell cancels. Fortunately, there is something that helps : Iapyx doesn’t tend to have its penetrate back when doing its spinning kick so I can start another combo at that time. The hardest part comes from the time when Iapyx doesn’t have enough TP for a spell and is below half health. Dodging React feather is a pain in the butt and you can either get lucky with a double jump but don’t really have an opportunity to strike…or you can use Mirage to stand right behind it to start a combo while it’s descending (and yeah Regal can’t run below React feather’s hitbox). Even though I took a bit of damage I’m happy with this take. I’m not a fan of the next battle though. I’ll probably have to grind a bit for it !
