I have a Nissan NV350 2016 Model. It had a problem at 172+++ ODO. sudden loss of power RPM won't go beyond 2000 and check engine appeared. We brought it to a Nissan Casa previously (now a autocare center) in Makati. They require me to replace all the filters and change the turbo Actuator to new one. So for short 17k for all the filters and 28k+ for the Turbo Actuator. After using the van for I think a week the check engine and same symptoms happen. So money spent is a waste. I Brough again the van in the autocare center with torque and boosts but check engine is imminent to happen. Back Job for the for the autocare shop. This time they said they will CLEAN the EGR and Manifold. They even told me they HAD replaced the defective Turbo Actuator. So after couple of days of testing it was OK again. I even included the replacement of Fan Belts and Change Oil. Here's the stupid part from me, noticing power loss with my Nissan Van after getting the van from the autocare center. When I asked the Chief Mekanic. His explanation was "Blow-by na po ang makina mo boss kaya Walang hatak" (no boost that's why, they had the lever of the turbo waste gate broken) coz prior to it the mekanic told me that they were pushing the rod and Actuator from stuck up. It might be the cause of the damage... So when I test it, I noticed that the engine is quite silent as it used to be. No torque or pulling power on my van... Until a trip the ff day to Baguio. On the foothills going up. Check Engine appeared again. I felt really disappointed, worthless, f*+lcked, because I spent almost a fortune just to fix the problem but still. Same problem persist. We just took the negative terminal of the battery off for 10 mins to reset. So from 172k+++ ODO without the turbo boost in the engine(not aware of it) up to 142k ODO. I had the EGR cleaning to 3TEN, Bos Edmar found out that the Autocare mechanic put a clog a metal sheet to the EGR. so we took it out and test. Check engine happened again at 142k. We then look for a specialist MASTER GARAGE CAVITE had the EGR, MANIFOLD cleaning. Then trouble shoot why no torque and he found out that NO BOOST from the TURBO but the ACTUATOR is WORKING. We took the turbo out and found out that a metal piece from the wastegate was torn from the lever inside the turbo. It was darked colored covered with thick carbon blackish coating. Meaning the piece of metal was sitting there for how many months... The small metal piece was so covered with carbon and it left a mark at the turbine sidewall. Then I remembered the last time when we pulled out the van from the autocare I remember the Mekanic saying "kinakatok nga namin yung Actuator para humans at gumalaw kasi nag stuck up sxa" . That why it has no power because they had the metal piece inside the turbo broken... Before they handed me the van... Making an alibi that the engine was Blow-by. So I would not sue them from breaking the turbo. They were former Nissan. Now independently operating as a autocare center. Maybe the mekaniko accidentally damaged the turbo.
