Here, I describe how we can use joint accounts to do a trustless account mixing operation. In this operation, a group of people pool all of their funds into a large mix account, which then forwards their funds to new address. This means that there is no way of linking their old accounts to their new accounts using a block explorer. What is the use case for this? Suppose that a merchant accepts 10 different payments to different Nano addresses. They can use NanoFusion to consolidate those payments into one account, without revealing to their customers how much revenue they have made, or what they spend their profits on. This can all be implemented with ZERO changes to the existing Nano node software. It is all done in client-side Javascript.
