Professor Chris Stringer updates us on developments relating to his 'Out of Africa' theory of the emergence of modern man. Professor Chris Stringer is a physical anthropologist and currently the Research Leader in Human Origins at the Natural History Museum. He achieved worldwide notoriety for his 'Out of Africa' theory in which he claimed that modern Humans emigrated from Africa less than 100,000 years ago and displaced all archaic Humans - like Neanderthals. His theories are now mainstream science, and he is a familiar figure in the media. He has also quite recently joined Humanists UK.
