Ok, let's start with the music. I very, very rarely say this, but, I admit - I'm sooo fucking proud of this! My knowledge about making music is extremely limited, and considering that, this is nothing but a pure masterpiece :-) It think it really matches the footage too. And a huge thanks to Makkan for putting a "human, finishing touch" to it all with some real bass towards the end (so, ok, that little, but very important, part I didn't make myself). The bass really makes it all complete. This being said - please use headphones! (Did I mentioned I'm so proud of this? :-)) - - So. Tenerife - not only sun and playas. If you do some research there are also other things and places to be discovered. Just above the little town of Abades sits the Sanatorio de Abona - an old, abandoned village built to isolate the numerous people suffering from leprosy in the early 1940’s. ”Abandoned” might be an incorrect description though. During the construction of the village, a cure for leprosy was discovered and there was no longer need for the sanatorio. It seems the about 40 buildings, with the church being the most impressive one, were left to decay before even being fully completed.
