I had a job interview in Tulsa, so why not stop in Bentonville first?! Even though it was raining all morning as I drove up, the rain route on the Back 40 was good to go, and lots of fun! I've ridden some of this before, but I didn't really remember it. After that, we went over to Slaughter Pen and hit Tristan's Trail before riding the new "paved" downhill flow trail. It's not actually pavement, it's called Soiltac. It's basically crushed rock that is glued together. The purpose is to have a jump/flow trail that holds up to the weather. If this were dirt, there's no way it would've been rideable after all the rain it had received! And by the way, those gaps were longer and deeper than they look in the video! GoPro effect!
