http://woodystraction.mytrainsite.com... Learn how to select the best Woody's snowmobile stud. Can't decide which snowmobile stud is right for you? There are two things to consider: First, is your snowmobile track single ply or 2- ply? Second, what snowmobile trail conditions do you ride in most often? Let's start with your snowmobile track. If you don't know what ply your track is, you can check your owner's manual, check the application guide on our website, or ask your dealer. In the app guide, all snowmobiles with single ply tracks are marked with an asterisk. If you have a single ply track, you have two options, the Grand Master and the Grand Master Pro. Woody's Grand Master Series studs have larger heads to provide a bigger anchor to distribute pressure over a wider area on a single ply track, reducing the risk of the stud tearing through the track. They have the same 60° carbide insert and quality construction as our standard Gold Digger, Mega-Bite and Signature Series trail studs for two ply tracks. For 2-ply snowmobile tracks, you can choose between the Gold Digger Traction Master, Mega Bite or the Signature Series studs. All three studs have the same 60 degree carbide tip, but are all designed for different riding conditions.
