2026 just started and somehow there’s already a new Soulslike. This might be the first Soulslike game of 2026, and it’s a $10 indie called Circle Begins that released on January 13. When I bought it, the game had zero reviews, so there’s a very real chance I was the first person to ever play it or the first to install a bitcoin miner from this game. Either way we climb. Circle Begins is supposed to be a story-heavy Soulslike about investigating your friend’s death. What it actually is… is a completely unhinged experience. Broken stamina, NPCs named Bob and Brad, the power to swim through air, and the lord of blood himself Mohg who screams at me every time I exist near him. Truly peak gaming For $10, this might be one of the weirdest Soulslike experiences I’ve had in a minute. If you like Souls games, cursed indie RPGs, or watching things slowly fall apart, you’ll probably like this video. W climb fr I Climb.
