On November 24th, 2001, I could have been on a flight that never arrived. In this video, I share a very personal story about that day I and Crossair Flight 3597, the plane crash near Zurich that took the lives of 24 people, including singer Melanie Thornton. I call this day my “second birthday” — not for dramatic effect, but because it genuinely changed how I look at life, work, and purpose. This is not a technical tutorial. It’s not about gear or mixing. It’s about perspective. As someone who usually talks about audio engineering, live sound, and professional workflows, I felt it was important to occasionally step away from the faders and share the human story behind the engineer. If you’re a sound engineer, musician, or creative professional, you know how often we’re on the road — and how fragile “normal days” really are. If you like my content, please leave me a like and subscribe to the channel. You can support this channel by giving me a superthanks 🎧 Feeling stuck behind the faders? Let’s talk it through — I offer private coaching calls where we can dive into anything from technical issues to mindset challenges that come with live sound. 15, 30, or 60 minutes — whatever fits your schedule. 👉 Book your call here: Kulrich999@aol.com #Livesoundmixing#Audio Tutorials#Livesound Education#Livesound#ProLiveSoundMixing # #soundengineer#LiveSoundEngineer #MixingLikeAPro #AudioEngineering #monitormixing #Live Sound Coaching
