**Fundraising event** Please come along to our joint fundraising event with Surviving Christmas on the 6th December 2025 at Collington Park Lodge between 11am and 5pm. Meet Rosie the Pony, Santa's going to make an appearance, and a whole host of games and activities including bingo, raffles, biscuit decorating and a whole host of other activities! ************************ Thank you for watching our sixth Rother Forum meeting. Your support for our channel really helps us continue running these events! This is yet another great session with a brilliant line up of speakers who really are experts in their topics for discussion. Unfortunately, we did have some technical issues with our radio microphones dropping out during the Q&A sessions. We hope to replace these after our fundraising event in December. Our first presentation is from East Sussex County Councillor Paul Redstone, who is a member of the cross-party scrutiny committee looking at local government reorganisation and devolution. Cllr Redstone's knowledge and eagerness to make sure the reorganisation works and is well-communicated to the public is clearly demonstrated as he speaks broadly about the topic of devolution/local government reorganisation and the challenges it presents. Presentation: 00:00:59 Q&A: 00:22:53 Our second presentation is from Sussex Police Chief Inspector Simon Yates, which the Rother Forum welcomes back to give us an update on policing across Rother. Chief Inspector Yates is rightly proud of his colleagues in the force due to their efforts to deliver positive results on local crime figures. This is reflected in the Q&A, with many people giving thanks and noting the impact the police have had on issues that have been bothering them. There are still challenges ahead, but it's clear Chief Inspector Yates is on the case with a plan to tackle them! Presentation: 00:30:02 Q&A: 00:45:12 Our third presentation is from Bexhill Town Councillor Andrew Crotty who speaks about neurodiversity in the community. Cllr Crotty has autism and speaks openly about his experiences and the challenges he faces on a day-to-day basis in the hope that bringing awareness of neurodivergence will help create a more understanding community. Presentation: 01:00:43 Q&A: 01:05:47 Our final presentation is from Sue Peck who is chairman of local charity Surviving Christmas (website: survivingchristmas.co.uk). Sue speaks passionately about her work, the positive impact it has and how the public can help with donations. Presentation: 01:09:35 Q&A: 01:15:03 The Rother Forum Committee, as always, is extremely grateful to all the guest speakers at this event who have taken a lot of personal time to prepare and present at this event. Thank you!
