Limited Tendering Process in e-GP Limited Tendering (also called Limited Tendering Method – LTM) in an e-Government Procurement (e-GP) system is a procurement method where only a selected and pre-qualified group of suppliers are invited to submit bids electronically, instead of opening the tender to everyone. It is used when: The requirement is specialized or technical Only a few suppliers are capable Urgency makes open tendering impractical Confidentiality or security is important In e-GP, all steps are done online through the procurement portal. Step-by-Step Limited Tendering Process in e-GP 1. Approval for Limited Tendering Procuring entity gets internal/authority approval to use limited tendering instead of open tender. 2. Selection of Eligible Suppliers A shortlist is prepared (from registered e-GP suppliers, approved vendor list, or past performers). 3. Creation of Tender in e-GP Tender details entered in the system: Scope of work Technical specifications Eligibility criteria Submission deadline 4. Electronic Invitation Invitations are sent only to selected suppliers via the e-GP system. No public advertisement. 5. Online Bid Submission Invited suppliers submit: Technical bids Financial bids Entirely electronic and time-locked. 6. Tender Opening Bids are opened online at the scheduled time.
