We got on board a conquest ex-cray fishing vessel that was having a few repairs done, including replacing some old Hynautics with something more reliable. The main reason behind the switch is that at any point in time the engine would not return to idle or the gearbox would be stuck in gear and would not return to neutral. We will be changing the input to a completely electronic input with the Flexball system via a Canbus system. Flexball is very flexible and can provide a solution for most engines. The Flexball system installed will be a 4500-EM12. This means it will be connecting to 1 electronically controlled engine and a mechanically controlled gearbox with 2 throttle helm stations.
