See How to Quickly Diagnose a Misfire on a 2015 Chevy Cruze with P0301, P0351 & P2301 Fault Codes

This 2015 Chevy Cruze 14 liter engine had the following fault codes stored: P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire, P0351 Ignition Coil A Primary / Secondary Circuit, P2301 Ignition Coil A Primary Control Circuit. Using an 8-channel scope Bernie shows us how to quickly identify the cause of the primary circuit fault, causing the misfire. Once the circuit fault is identified, the cause is found. Corrosion in the connector shorting three terminals together, identified using the TTL function of the 8-channel scope. The short caused by the corrosion is removed and with that the short is repaired. However, the misfire still present due to the 12 volt short on the primary circuit damaging the ignition module. A new ignition was required as well as repairing the terminal short in the ECM connector. This video will help you gain confidence when diagnosing circuit faults.
