Recreational marijuana sales are already making an economic impact across the state. In the first five days of recreational sales, Ohio dispensaries sold more than $11.5 million in flower, vape pods, edibles and other cannabis products, according to the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control. Dispensaries statewide had 138,466 receipts from the start of sales on August 6 until the end of August 10. Meanwhile, medical patients spent $1.9 million on products during the same period. Ohio adults who are 21 and older can purchase up to 2.5 ounces of flower and up to nearly 0.5 ounces of extracts a day.
