We jump into Mission 2: The Skies of Yavin, where Vanguard Squadron has a massive opportunity—and challenge—waiting above Yavin Prime. After meeting up with Wedge Antilles and hearing more about Project Starhawk, we join Talus Group in an effort to seize control of the crippled Imperial Star Destroyer Victorum, which has been cornered above the planet. With enemy TIE fighters swarming, we work alongside the Talus Group’s CR90 corvette to push through waves of Rebels and Imperial fighters alike. Once we reach the Victorum, scanning and identifying its weak point near the neck of the Star Destroyer becomes critical—only one breach point will open the hull for boarding. While pulling off those scans, we jump into the thick of combat, even saving Frisk from a pair of deadly interceptors along the way. With Breach Point found and the boarding team en route, heavier threats like a Quasar-class carrier arrive, forcing Vanguard to fight through capital ship defenses before regrouping around the Victorum. In the end, a mix of tactical strikes and team coordination see the boarding operation succeed and Vanguard pulling back to rendezvous with the Temperance.
