In this video I’m back up the hill fencing and moving sheep, while dealing with a few different realities of farm life at the same time. I explain what’s going on with the jeep and why it’s getting a new chassis, with some b-roll of stripping the tub off so you can see exactly what’s involved. It wasn’t planned, but it’s part of keeping machinery going on a working sheep farm. I also talk through the decision to buy a van and how that stacks up economically compared to running a jeep, especially when you factor in reliability, running costs, and what you actually need day to day on the farm. There’s a quick weigh-in of lambs heading for the factory as well, and thankfully they’re weighing very well, which is always good to see after the work that goes into them.
