Alec Bradley: American Classic and Sun Grown Cigars

Dave Topper of Alec Bradley Cigars takes a moment on his latest visit to talk to us about the American Classic Blend from Alec Bradley. Transcript: Alec Bradley American Series, available in two distinctive wrappers; the Alec Bradley classic, which is a Honduran-grown Connecticut shade. It’s grown in an area where we take the cheesecloth off of the wrapper, off of the plants, so that it does come out a little darker, a little thicker, a little more flavorful as compared to the normal growing patterns of Connecticut shades especially in the Honduras, which normally comes out much lighter. But it’s a very mild cigar with lots of flavor. And if you look to the sun-grown, which is the darker Nicaraguan wrapper, again both of these products are made in Nicaragua, and this cigar is a little more medium. It’s full-bodied. We’re very proud of the fact that we were able to introduce this value product into our great lines of more expensive cigars, but on the same quality that we always insist. And right now, it’s one of our bestsellers. The American sun grown and the American classic, both from Alec Bradley, both excellent values, one mild, one medium.
