The features on this Drone make me feel like I’m piloting some king of James Bond gadget, everything about this quad is so convenient. The GPS functions keep the drone incredibly stable during flight and in the worst case scenario that you lose sight of your drone you can flip a switch to bring it right back to where it paired up and it will land itself… Amazing! First things first, this is not a toy and this is not a sports flying quad. Don’t expect this quad to do flips or any fast paced aerial maneuvers. What you have here is an extremely stable video drone that can capture some stunning footage and even follow you as you hold the remote. Thus far this is the most high tech quad I have had the pleasure of flying. Setup & Functions ### *You will want to make sure your 7.4v 610mAh LiPo battery is fully charged and that you also have fresh AA batteries in your remote. *Find a nice level spot that is clear (more on that in a second) and then connect your battery to your drone and turn on your remote. Your video feed should pop up and when you here a *BEEP the controller has bound to the drone. From here you can continue on or check out some of the advanced options menu on the controller by pressing the left stick down and then clicking the right stick. This will open up a menu to change different settings. *Next look at your screen and you should see in the bottom left corner the Drone+Controller symbol and they are both searching for a satellite signal. Both the controller and the drone must have AT LEAST 6 GPS signals in order to fly. (There are advanced options to change all of this, I don’t suggest using them but if you want to know how you can read your manual.) Once at least 6 signals have been locked on you can then press the left thumbstick to the bottom left corner and the right thumbstick to the bottom right corner and the motors will engage. *You are now ready to take flight Once airborne you can toggle the GPS hold function, record video, or engage the follow me function. *With a single flip of the “HOME” button the drone will begin to return to the area where it first bound to the controller (this is why you want a nice clear spot for the home) and land within feet of the designated area. You can at any time turn this feature off and take back control of your drone. *By clicking the right thumbstick this will engage the Follow me feature and the drone will follow wherever the controller heads to. *Clicking the left thumbstick will enable headless mode. *You can also update the drone firmware by emailing Hubsan and telling the model of your drone and they will email you back with an attachment of the latest firmware and a program to use to do it. You will simply connect your battery pack and then plug your drone into your PC’s USB port using a micro USB connector. What I liked ### *The flight time is around 12-13 minutes depending on how aggressive you are flying and if you are recording. This drone will absolutely hold itself in the wind with GPS Hold.
