Ron Thomas did not feel that the testimony of these 7 witnesses would make much difference when closing arguements were made weeks from now. Former cops, who are charged with the beating & compressing death of Kelly Thomas, the homeless son of ex-cop Ron Thomas. The alleged murderers, Manuel Ramos and Jay Patrick Cicinelli are free on bond for more than 2.5 years, as Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackakus has deliberatedly delayed this trial to the point were some of the hospital witnesses had to answer they could "not remember" and it leave this objective reporter, from 200 miles north with the feeling that this was timed for Christmas. Question is, will it be a Conviction of Ramos and Cicinelli, a gift for Cathy & Ron Thomas; or a Gift of exoneration by the Jury for Ramas and Cicinelli. 6 officers were involved in this killing of homeless, defenseless Kelly Thomas. Only 2 are on trial, and 1 may start a separate trial next year. Three are not even charged, with aiding and abetting the murder of Kelly Thomas, though they had a duty to prevent the murder of Kelly.
