Optentia Research Day 2016 | NWU Research

Optentia. Forging links and building networks. The Optentia Research Focus Area on the Vaal Triangle Campus of the North-West University (NWU Vaal) hosted a Research Day on 8 September 2016. Optentia’s research spans an array of social sciences, including psychology, industrial psychology, social work, sociology, and education. Optentia researchers play a significant role in investigating the optimizing of the potential of individuals, relationships, and institutions, both nationally and internationally. The aims of the Research Day were to share research done by Optentia researchers and postgraduate students, to encourage potential postgraduate students to apply for postgraduate studies with Optentia, and create opportunities for open discussion between Optentia members and researchers from other NWU faculties and campuses. Through this event, Optentia wants to promote multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary studies that might be beneficial when tackling opportunities and problems in the African context. www.optentia.co.za
