No 10. Tacha’s full name is Anita Natacha Akide. She was born on 23 December 1995 to Ijaw parents of Kalabari people in Rivers State, Nigeria. Tacha grew up in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where she completed her education. She has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language from the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. No 9. Before Big Brother, Tacha enjoyed moderate fame on Instagram where she dished out relationship advice and shared twerking videos. With success, Tacha became an influencer helping brands and individuals to promote their services and products. She also leveraged her moderate fame to establish a business account on Instagram, which she uses to sell products to her fans. Which brings us to Fact no 8, Tacha was hungry for fame and success. Not satisfied with her moderate fame on Instagram, Tacha auditioned for Big Brother Naija and was accepted into the fourth edition of the show. Her friends stated they were not surprised that she auditioned. Tacha’s friends and supporters ran one of the noisiest campaigns on social media in a bid to help her win the competition. Her fans, called Titans, were also very supportive of the star who was nominated several times for eviction. Titans voted in large numbers to ensure she survived each eviction nomination. Even after Tacha was disqualified from the competition, Titans ensured she kept trending on social media with hashtags incorporating her name. They even started a GoFundMe campaign on her behalf to compensate her for losing out on the prize money. Tacha confirmed during the 2020 BBNaija reunion that she received the money from the Campaign. No 7. Tacha has Davido’s face tattooed on her chest right between her breasts. The ex- reality star got the OBO tattoo in 2018 and proudly flaunted it on social media, getting the attention of the singer. According to Tacha, she has admired Davido since 2011 when he released his hit song, Dami Duro. Speaking about the tattoo during an appearance on Cool FM after she was kicked out of Big Brother Naija house, Tacha told the hosts: “Yeah, I love Davido. David was the inspiration behind my having the OBO tattoo. You know David has this drive regardless of everything, he still has that drive and strength and it’s what I admire.” Meanwhile, these days, Tacha photoshops the tattoo away from the pictures she shares online. When asked in a June 2020 interview with TVC’s Chude Jideonwo if she still has the tattoo; Tacha laughed and did not give a verbal answer. She also confirmed she had met Davido twice before she went into the Big Brother house.  Hmm... She is very proud of the city she grew up in and once stated that Rivers State is the best State in Africa. Her Rivers' fans also mightily appreciate her. They campaigned heavily for her while she was in the house. At the end of the show, fans also came out in droves to welcome her when she visited Port Harcourt. It is safe to say that the love is mutual.  No 5. Tacha was kidnapped in 2018. At least that was the story told by her friends as they rally around to raise money for her release. However, Port Harcourt First Daughter was released just a few days after the news of the alleged kidnap. Many observers thought the timing of the kidnapping was suspicious as it came not long after Davido started following her after she revealed her OBO tattoo on Instagram. Word on the street was that Tacha staged her own kidnapping to gain clout. Meanwhile, the ex-reality TV star neither confirmed nor denied the kidnapping story.  No 4. Tacha prides herself to be a seasoned businesswoman. Even before joining Big Brother, Tacha leverages her popularity to start a fashion, beauty and electronic businesses, which she operates via her two business Instagram pages and the Simply Tacha website. According to her African Magic profile, Tacha says she loves money moves and will pick her phone over sleep at any time.  No 3. Did you know that Tacha auditioned for Big Brother Naija several times before she was accepted? Yes, Port Harcourt First Daughter wanted the exposure the reality TV show will give her and, of course, the prize money. However, her audition in Port Harcourt did not go as she had hoped, so she re-auditioned in Enugu before getting the nod.
