Beginning his musical journey in the 1980s, Affani was initially inspired by the synth sounds of masters like Jean-Michel Jarre before discovering house music pioneers like Frankie Knuckles. Affani then set about working on his own tracks, and after support from the likes of Laidback Luke he presents the 'BCN 2 RTTRDM' EP. Starting off with the nine-minute workout 'CSS', Affani uses a simple bassline to great effect, building from a hum to a growl over the course of the track under swirling pads. On 'Technazo', Affani establishes a dancefloor-ready groove before introducing a fluctuating, jumping melody and building the tension before dropping the infectious bass hook once again. Last up is Affani vs Begeera with 'Afrika', which as the name suggests features tribal-style percussion coupled with a throbbing tech house bassline for a perfect slice of summery, laid back house.
