A few years ago, Derwent released their line of 100 Lightfast coloured pencils, with the claim that every single one of them is considered lightfast under museum conditions for one hundred years or more. But are they really lightfast? I wanted to find out, so I swatched out all of the colours onto three sheets of paper, and I tested them for an entire year. 1: Control - Kept in a dark folio, not exposed to any light 2: Ambient - Hung on a wall with exposure to natural daylight, indirect sunlight 3: Full Sun - Hung in a window exposed to full sunlight hitting the swatches, for an extreme lightfastness test.
