Exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Bosnia for the first time! 🇧🇦 This is country number 28 on my 30 by 30 goal and travel series ☺️🌍 Come along with me as I travel through Sarajevo and Mostar as we sightsee, discover Baščaršija, enjoy traditional Bosnian cuisine, and chat with friendly locals. I also visited the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial, a deeply emotional and important part of Bosnia’s history. Walking through the memorial and learning about the events of July 1995 was heavy, heartbreaking, and eye-opening. It’s a place that serves as a powerful reminder of the consequences of hatred and intolerance, and of the thousands of lives lost. Visiting Srebrenica was difficult but necessary. Definitely an experience that reinforces the importance of remembrance, education, and ensuring that such tragedies are never repeated.
