Finally, I made it to Kent in England to visit the Howletts Wild Animal Park and the Port Lympne Wildlife Park, both are run by the Aspinall Foundation. It isn't a cheap area of England and this is the first time I managed to go there and stay there. This was back in February before the coronavirus. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the best to visit, but when you book your accommodation in advance you can't choose the weather to go with it. I'm not one for giving up when the weather changes for the worse. I stand in the rain, I walk in the rain, I film in the rain and I still smile even when I am soaking wet and cold 😁. The animals, of course, have other ideas, especially when they've got a nice warm enclosure and don't want to come out. Howletts gorilla inside enclosure isn't open to the visitors, so when they're inside that's it, you can't see them anymore. The same goes for the Port Lympne Wildlife Park, but I had more luck there with the weather breaking at times. ( Port Lympne videos starting on the 9th July). Luckily I did get some glimpse of a couple of gorillas that braved the cold when it was feeding time in their semi-outdoor enclosure. Howletts Wild Animal Park has 3 groups of gorillas open to the public, some groups aren't accessible. The reason might be that they are getting them ready to be moved. Howletts Wild Animal Park has got the most gorillas in the world and they are leaders in breading gorillas, but what makes this special is that some gorillas get released back into wild sanctuaries in Africa! Not only gorillas get reintroduced back to the wild in Africa. Rhinos are relocated to Tanzania, primates to Indonesia, European bison to Romania and Spain and clouded leopards to Cambodia. Just recently two cheetahs Saba & Nairo's moved by The Aspinall Foundation from the UK to a new life in the wilderness of their ancestral homeland of South Africa, the Ashia Cheetah Sanctuary to settle them in and prepare for the wild! It's really great to see that it can and it does happen! #SloggerVlogger #HowlettsWildAnimalPark #SloggerVloggerGorillas
