Audiovisualisation of a rotating shape morphing from a scuircle into a circle into an astroid. The geometric shapes are defined by gradual changes in the parameters of the Lamé curve (also known as superellipse or superformula). The size (amplitude in audio) of the shape changes according to its rotation to prevent clipping. In digial audio the cusps of the astroid's audified x and y coordinate waveforms introduce aliasing. When the astroid approximates a cross its audified waveforms sound like a click. Audiofiles (WAV) of audified shapes were created with custom software.
