There are various kinds of acid tests, patch test, blood tests. Latest is the in vitro test, you take a sample of blood and find out the different allergens. The latest test making rounds is the hair strand tests. None of the tests are totally reliable and 100 % accurate. There could always be some flaws. We might always miss out some allergens which may not detect through these tests. Hair strand test is cost effective. Secondly allergens and pathogens cannot be detected by this. Having said that, you need 2 – 3 types of tests to find out what exactly your allergy is. I won’t say that hair strand test is 100% accurate. So consult your doctor and find out what you are allergic to.
