Read my comments and see. Be sure to put the buckets where kids can't fall into them, and put a screen over them to keep birds and such out, and dirty water works best. Put a bucket about every 150-300 ft apart towards the outer perimetor of your property, or about 150' away from your house, for best results. Also, remove all other water sources and re-treat once a month. You'll spend less than $10 on the dunks and they last for years if you use small pieces. You don't want lots of chemicals in the bucket or you may drive them away, but good old dirt type dirty is actually good. If you still want to add another layer of protection, I recommend this item which I used when I lived on 20 acres. It kills them by luring them into a fan, where they slowly die.
