On this episode of #BOIImpact our crew visited the Abakaliki Rice Cluster located in Ebonyi State. The cluster consists of over 500 rice millers and employs over 5,000 individuals across the value chain. The value chain includes amongst others, the rice paddy traders and merchants who procure rice paddy from within and outside the state. Most of the established millers are multigenerational family owned. This cluster of rice millers are owned and managed by private individuals and cooperative societies.
