Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Willis sent a letter to Rep. Jim Jordan instructing him to stop abusing his authority and violating the Constitution by interfering in her RICO prosecution of Donald Trump and his co-conspirators. First, Jordan defies a congressional subpoena demanding information and evidence about Donald Trump's democracy-busting crimes on and around January 6. After refusing to provide - in other words, hiding from the J6 committee and the American people - evidence that could have incriminated Donald Trump, he became even more emboldened in his determination to help Trump evade accountability for his crimes, so he began interfering in state prosecutions. This kind of escalating, democracy-damaging evidence is exactly what we should expect if the Department of Justice continues to refuse to hold insurrectionists in Congress accountable for their conduct.
