Designed by VPLP, the Excess 14 catamaran has a forward-set rig, a square-top mainsail, and a large overlapping genoa (as standard) to optimize the sail area to displacement ratio. . The 14 features an optimized fin design, and the rudder blades have been extended. She has a direct steering system with textile lines, for a better helm feel. Down below, she is very comfortable. . This is the 2nd “pure” design from Excess Catamarans 14, which develops the sporty philosophy of this multihull brand with plenty of comfort onboard. The Excess 14 has twin aft helms, a low boom, assymmetric hulls to reduce leeway, and deeper rudders to help sailing upwind. There are “power up” options if you order the Pulse Line.
