Alfa Romeo is the first team to reveal its proper 2023 Formula 1 car, which features a striking new livery and some significant technical developments described by the team as ‘brave’. The first thing that catches the eye is the new look, as although Sauber will part company with Alfa Romeo at the end of the year the colour scheme has been changed up for their final season together. The red-and-white of previous years is replaced with a more dramatic red-and-black livery incorporating branding from new title sponsors Stake. And having so much black will have its advantages in saving a little bit of weight - as Alfa Romeo can run those parts of the car unpainted on race weekends.
