What does a regular 53 year old fit guy eat in a day? In this video, I share a full day of eating packed with high protein meals, whole foods, and sustainable nutrition to stay lean. When I first started my health journey, the first step was cutting out processed foods, sugar, and alcohol. From there, I discovered that the secret to changing my body was protein. Building muscle helps burn fat, and the only way to build muscle is to fuel your body with enough protein. My rule of thumb: 1 gram of protein per pound of desired body weight. For me, that’s about 170g protein daily — and on this day I hit 208g protein total (food plus a grass fed whey isolate shake). And here’s the thing: I don’t count calories. I focus on eating real food, prioritizing protein, and letting my body respond. This approach keeps it simple and sustainable. Here’s the breakdown of my meals: 🥚 Breakfast (47g protein) 5 eggs 2 venison and beef sausages Half avocado Watermelon and blueberries 🐟 Lunch (35g protein) Brown rice crackers with smoked salmon Half avocado Blackberries and blueberries 3 hard boiled eggs 🥩 Dinner (80g protein) Grass fed ribeye (0.75 lb portion) Baked potato with Greek yogurt and grass fed butter Caesar salad with Caroline’s homemade sourdough croutons 🍨 Dessert (15g protein) Greek yogurt Raw honey Frozen blueberries Caroline's Kitchen Co. dehydrated crispy pineapple 💪 Protein Totals Food: 178g protein Plus 30g whey isolate supplement Grand Total = 208g protein This way of eating keeps me lean, strong, and satisfied while still enjoying food I love.
