Flying from Jakarta to MEDAN Sumatra! 🇮🇩 Indonesia Travel Vlog

Our hotel in Medan: https://www.agoda.com/partners/partne... In today's Indonesia travel vlog, we take our first domestic flight in Indonesia! We fly with Super Air Jet (free checked bags 🎉🎉🎉) from Jakarta to Medan to start our 10 days exploring Sumatra! Unfortunately our flight was super early! We had to leave our hotel room at 3am to make it to the airport to check our bags and get ready for our flight to Medan. Once we arrived in Medan we had a couple options to get from the Kualanamu International Airport to the center of Medan. The train is one of the most popular options to get from the airport into the city, however we found out that there is also a bus which is much cheaper! While the train is 100,000 Rp or more per person, we took the Damri bus for only 40,000 Rp each! The bus was very comfy, complete with chargers for both of us. It took us directly to the center of Medan (actually closer to our hotel than the train station). After we got off the bus we started walking to our hotel which was about 15 minutes. We wanted to stop for coffee and some breakfast on the way, however everything was closed as it was the end of Ramadan! Luckily we found a bakery that was open so we were able to get some chocolate bread and some bottled coffee. When we arrived at our hotel we were so surprised that they let us check in super early! That was so amazing and we took a nap right away. After our nap we were hungry so of course we. had to order our favorite: gado gado.
