Classic TV Theme: NewsRadio (Full Stereo)
Running for five seasons on NBC this 1995 sitcom about an all-news radio station featured a talented ensemble cast, fast-paced quips, running gags, and occasionally surreal storylines. The passing of Phil Hartman was written into the show (Jon Lovitz would join the series as a new character). NBC changed the time slot almost a dozen times, and ratings were never spectacular. It ranked #92 in season three yet the network kept it on the air for two more years. Theme music is by Mike Post; by this time he was usually named in the opening titles or episode intro, but here it's in the end credits. 0:00 Opening titles, seasons 1-3. 0:30 Opening titles, season 4. The music is the same, but the visuals are changed. 1:00 Opening titles and end credits, season 5. The opening was cut down to five seconds. The end credits were often shown over an additional scene instead of music, but occasionally an episode would use the theme.
