It's only a couple of days before Mother's Day and maybe you are feeling stressed about what to do for Mom, especially with the stores closed and all. Perhaps you need a craft to do with the kids to keep them creative and energized? This project is a great opportunity to get out of the house, and explore your yard or woods and make something fun and creative. In this second part of the Tea Cup Garden Series, I will show you how to use one block of polymer clay to create several different types of tiny houses that will transform your gardens from being cute, to being magical! No artistic abilities are required and beginners can definitely do this craft. If you don't have polymer clay I recommend using Sculpey or Craftsmart Basic colors (at Michaels) as they are easy to work with and under $2 a brick. Both brands bake at 275 degrees in a standard or toaster oven for 30 minutes. They are non-toxic and I recommend baking them on parchment on a cookie sheet or using a ceramic tile left over from a DIY project. Michaels is offering curbside pickup for craft supplies so you can get polymer during this crazy time. Items needed for this project: 1 Brick of polymer clay Toothpicks A square matchstick or dowel - A ceramic tile (optional) Rubbing Alchohol & cotton Swab (optional) If you have any questions please put them in the comment box below.
