Hello everyone! Welcome back! In today's video I'll be showing you all how to install the much anticipated MINI F55, F56 and F57 Passenger Sports Display. Please note that this is a prototype item so may differ slightly in material from the final mass produced item. This is due for release in March 2021. SCP Automotive installation video: • MINI F-Series LCD Passenger Sport Dis... Order Now: https://scpautomotive.co.uk/products/... Use code BEN10 for 10% off your own display! If anyone has any questions when it comes to installing please let me know either in the comments below or over on Instagram! IMPORTANT - DO NOT START THE CAR WITHOUT THE AIRBAG SWITCH IN PLACE AS THIS WILL CAUSE A FAULT, ENSURE YOU PLUG THE AIRBAG SWITCH BACK IN BEFORE YOU START THE CAR. IF POSSIBLE TRY AND FEED THE WIRE THROUGH WITHOUT DISCONNECTING THE AIRBAG SWITCH! Wiring steps:- 1) Remove the black plug from the top row of the BDC unit. 2) Use a flat head screw driver to slide the wiring insert out from the plug housing 3) Separate the grey and black connectors by sliding both apart and concentrate on the grey connector. 4) Locate on the following image wire 1 (white), wire 2 (purple), wire 3 (grey) and wire 4 (blue) - https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... 5) Remove the above wires and match white to white, purple to purple, grey to grey and blue to green on the new wiring harness connector - https://drive.google.com/drive/folder... 6) Take the new replacement wires on the new wiring harness and attach them to the grey connector the wires have just been removed from. White to White, Purple to Purple, Grey to Grey and Green to Blue 7) Join the grey and black connectors back together and slide back into the connector housing, then reattach to the BDC. 8) Take the red fuse lead and run it to the rear of the glove box which houses the fuse board. Any yellow fuse should work, however, if you are unsure just use the same fuse location as I used in the video. 9) Attach the ground cable to anywhere suitable. I used the bolt to the left of the glove box behind the air bag switch trim. 10) Test it out! If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask! Please complete this at your own risk!
