I came up with my “two things” list, I feel that I really have my professional and personal goals aligned with what I want to do this month, to where I’m going to be in two years. So Emily pre-Lifehack Bootcamp would constantly be writing to-do lists—not just for myself but for my poor, sweet husband. Now I don’t write to-do lists anymore. Not having these crazy lists for my husband and working together, it just feels really good that we’re in this together and that the “two things” list and everything that I’ve come up with for our vision for two years is really not just mine, it’s ours. Ours as a family, as a unit. Now we get together and we’re going to look at our finances together, we always talked about doing that pre-bootcamp, but now we really are and how are we saving, how are we spending, where do we want to get away next weekend to. Oh, I definitely think like a bootcamp is a great fit for moms and for new moms and moms who are also working professionals. So one thing as a mom that I think all moms can relate to is that we want to putting together photo albums, especially “year one” of our child, or every year. Well, who has time for that? And that ends up being something that kinda sucks your time and if you go to do it versus doing all the other things you need to do, so I haven’t even thought of this ‘til being in the bootcamp that I could outsource that and that the 50 hours it would probably take me to put together that album, you know, get all my photos, sort them, go through month-by-month, do everything…I’m going to outsource it to a virtual assistant to do it for me and those hours that I freed up now I can spend generating income for my family and working on some of the side revenue projects that I wanted to do.
