First Scuba Dive at Lady Musgrave Island Southern Great Barrier Reef

Join me on an unforgettable day trip from Bundaberg, Australia out to Lady Musgrave Island one of the most beautiful coral cays on the Southern Great Barrier Reef. We boarded the high-speed catamaran Mummy First Arrived early in the morning for an amazing adventure on the reef. After a scenic cruise across the Coral Sea, we arrived at Lady Musgrave Island’s lagoon a huge, calm reef-protected stretch of water surrounded by vibrant coral and marine life. Our day included: Island tour — spotting loads of incredible birdlife, including migratory seabirds that travel all the way from Japan to nest in the Pisonia trees. Glass bottom boat tour — getting up close with coral gardens, colourful fish, and even turtle cleaning stations where green and loggerhead turtles hang out. Beginner scuba dive — this was my first dive ever. Exploring the Southern Great Barrier Reef underwater was mind-blowing schools of fish, vibrant corals and an ocean world I’ll never forget. Lunch break + snorkelling — after diving, we ate, then spent the afternoon snorkelling and soaking in everything the reef has to offer.
