The MELAtherm 10 tutorial shows you how to use the injector rails of the washer-disinfector correctly. The importance of hollow body instrument decontamination is increasing, especially in dental clinics. Using the injector rail with corresponding adapters permits the standard-conform acceptance of ultrasonic scaler tips, handpieces, turbines and surgical suction cannulas. Universal suction cannulas with a diameter of 11 - 16 mm can be placed in the instrument basket. This means that up to 11 connections are available on the injector rail. The central filter in the injector rail protects narrow lumen of hollow body instruments against damage. The efficient use of a central filter is achieved from the decontamination of 6 handpieces or turbines. With a smaller number of transfer instruments, we recommend the use of a basis basket with an injector rail without a central filter. Adapters for accommodating handpieces, turbines, ultrasonic scaler tips and the injector basket flex1 can be placed directly on the injector rail.
