Storm Eunice was one of the strongest windstorms to hit the UK for many years bringing widespread damaging winds for many. The Met Office issued an amber warning for the whole of England and Wales and 2 very rare red warnings for South Western coasts and London/SE. Here in Northants during the peak of the storm we got gusts of up to 60-70mph and the highest gust recorded in the UK was 122mph at The Needles Isle of Wight making it the highest wind gust on record.
