ALPA Objects to AAIB's Ahmedabad Crash Report, Alleges Pressure to Blame Pilots | India Today

The Airline Pilots Association of India (ALPA) has objected to the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau's (AAIB) initial report on an Air India crash in Ahmedabad. Following a meeting with AAIB officials, the pilot body claimed the report was hurried, prepared under pressure, and its wording was open to interpretation. Pilot body chief, Sam Thomas, told India Today, “Everybody wants to give a clean chit to everybody else.” The preliminary report stated that the fuel supply to the Boeing 787's engines was cut off three seconds after take-off but did not specify how.
