Greek golden and flaky puffed pastries filled with a mixture of feta cheese and cream cheese mixture. The feta triangles are great for a savory snack, appetizer at any time. They can be easily freezed or refrigerated before any use or occasion. RECIPE IN GREEK AND ENGLISH ΣΥΝΤΑΓΗ ΣΤΑ ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ CHEESE PUFF PASTRY PIES INGREDIENTS • 1 package puff pastry with 10 squares 5in x 5in • 4 oz of cream cheese • ½ pound of feta cheese • 1 egg • Dry mint • White pepper • 1 egg for brushing the top of triangles • Optional – sesame seeds INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper 2. In a bowl crumbled the feta cheese. Add the cream cheese and mix. Then add one egg, mint and black pepper and mix well. Set the mixture aside. 3. Cut each puff pastry square into half, put 1 tsp of mixture in the middle of each square, then stretch the square, brush with water the edges, and fold puff pastry over it, to form a triangle. Press with fork, to seal edges. 4. In a different bowl, whisk one egg , brush the egg on top of each triangle. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a cooling rack and let it cool for 10 minutes.
