ABOUT THE VIDEO Here is my take on 5 things that you should not say to a person in a wheelchair. For me personally, I don't mind most questions and statements at all. Now of course there are a few that really get me mad for personal reasons. For example "You can get better if you really try". However, for some other things like asking a person in a wheelchair if they need help. I thing that is completely okay to ask. I understand why a wheelchair user can get mad at that question but I genuinely do not agree with that reaction. Because of my injury I have no feeling or movement below the middle of my chest. In addition, my triceps and wrists are a lot weaker and my fingers don't work at all. Before my injury I was an elite swimmer training 10x a week. After my injury I started playing wheelchair rugby.
