Jay will be sharing his personal experience with the effects of rare brain disease on family and community, and how these experiences inspired him to create his nonprofit, MIND Relief. Jay Iyer is a sophomore at Harvard College concentrating in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Statistics. His specific interests lie in developmental neurobiology and the study and treatment of movement disorders, namely Parkinson's disease and progressive supranuclear palsy. He conducts research in cortical development and analyzes clinical trial data to understand movement disorder genetics and improve clinical outcomes.
