We Know How to Party! In January 2020, based on the theme ‘Enchanted’ we designed and built an immersive event experience for our team to enjoy. Transforming a 45m long marquee temporarily installed in our Warehouse, we created a truly magical occasion, shared by all the team, and memorable for years to come. The dress code was good Vs evil, and the party began with guests entering through a giant Story Book into a Mushroom Glade –This was a land of giants, where guests were dwarfed by towering toadstools, flowers and butterflies. In this alternative drinks reception, guests met and mingled -enjoying the discovery of who was who under all the fancy-dress. A stone bridge stepped over a luminous mist-covered colour-changing river. Guests were then invited to pose for a photograph before choosing one of 2 paths before them; Good or Bad? Should they choose the Good path, through a glittery rainbow, with birdsong and bright lit coloured trees? Or should they choose the Evil path, through a dead tree, billowing smoke with sounds of thunder and howling wolves beyond? Guests excitedly made their choices, (some surprises there for sure!) and went their own way. The good pathway led through the rainbow woods, passing by a series of glittery fantastical creatures, a sweet-themed Gingerbread house -and ending in a powder-pink fantasy club: The Unicorn Dream Lounge. Here Unicorns were everywhere, disco balls spun light effects, giant candy adorned the walls. The soundtrack of happy pop tunes provided entertainment for all the goodie 2 shoes, who also enjoyed Disney-themed cocktails at the rainbow colour-changing bar. It was sickeningly sweet. Meanwhile, down the path of the bad -the naughty guests had entered a dark and mysterious forest path, with lightning forks and the sound of witches cackling. As they made their way through the creepy winding pathway, they pushed through a heavy web of cobwebs, and discovered a dimly lit Witches coven. Here there were giant bubbling cauldrons, spell books and the caged skeletal remains of those who had dared to enter before. An aged stone bar, named the Poison Apple provided potions and spell-themed drinks for all the evil-doers, rock music filled the air. It was bad-to-the-bone. When it was time to dine, a secret doorway in each bar opened up and all guests were reunited in exploring a new world together– The Castle & courtyard. This was a medieval-style world, with wishing wells and Giant beanstalks and rustic market stalls serving foodie treats. Roaring Dragons framed the Royal Castle stage-set, complete with moat. Central to the room was the stone dancefloor, where guests enjoyed dancing the night away to the live performance of the Greatest Hits of Queen, in the castle of course. We love the power of immersive events.
