What's up everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the Buyers Product Tri-Ball Ball mount. It's gonna go in a 2 inch hitch. It's gonna be a good idea to get if you have multiple trailers, maybe you're tired of getting three different ball mounts outta the back of your truck and put 'em in here for when you need to adjust for different coupler sizes. So right now we have the 2-5/16 set up so we'll be able to back up and hook up to that trailer. Now you can also adjust the height. So with the multiple trailers they're probably different heights you it's gonna have to match up to your truck every time. So now you can all do it with one ball mount. Quickly make those adjustments, whether it's height or which ball size, and then get on the road. We're gonna pull out the linchpin here on this side. This is what's gonna clip in our bigger pin. Now these are heavy duty pins, I like that. It's got a nice ring so you can pull it out easily. Sometimes there's not much to grab onto so it's a little struggle to pull the pins out. With this one removed I can show you how you just rotate whatever size you need. So this is gonna be the 2 inch ball. You have a coupler for that, or if you have a trailer that has a 1-7/8 inch ball we're gonna flip all the way over there, pin it and hook it up. And adjust the heights. You have a 6 inch drop and 6 inch rise you can work with if you flip this up the other way. So let's say we need to come all the way down here to even out our truck and trailer. We'll just replace the pins. Now, make sure the pins are all facing the same way. So you can use the linchpins that are all tied together. You see all three of these have the same ring on there and keep 'em together, which I like that. So you can't accidentally drop one and the dirt or anything. They're gonna stay together. But that means the pins have to be facing the same way so you can put them all on. This is gonna be set up in the rise position. So this as much height as you'll get, which is again, 6 inches of rise. Now be careful when it's in this position and you'll lower the tailgate you don't want to accidentally dent it. Something unique about this ball mount is that it has the anti-rattle bolt right here. So you can actually tighten this down and it'll take out a lot of the up and down movement. So you'll see right now a lot of that and that's even without the tri-ball on there. So that's gonna add even more when hooked up to the trailer and that will transfer to the truck. So if we gonna get rid of that, come up with my 19 millimeter socket on my ratchet, tighten that down. So that screw's gonna now push up against the shank on the inside, eliminating the up and down movement. Even though it did eliminate the up and down you see there's still gonna be a little bit here but this section is holding tight. It still will move side to side just a little bit. Now this ball mount here is gonna have a gross trailer weight rating of 10,000 pounds, and that's with the 2-5/16 inch ball. Now if you switch to one of the other ones, that is gonna change. So just keep track of that. As far as the tongue weight rating, it is gonna go the same way as the gross trailer weight rating. So it's gonna be 1,000 pounds for this 2-5/16 inch ball, but that will change as you adjust to which one you need. It's gonna be solid steel construction so there's no hollow shank in here. So it's all steel. When you get down to the tri-ball accessory that's gonna be chrome plated with a zinc finish. So if you leave this on the back of your truck all the time the elements aren't gonna get to it. The recommendation I'd like to make is maybe getting locking hitch pins for your setup. Since you invested in this ball mount and it's adjustable you wanna leave it set up the way you want it so you can use these locking hitch pins on the accessory and the hitch. The brand we're using today is InfiniteRule. Now these actually work with BulletProof Hitches but we found that it worked with this Buyers Product adjustable ball mount as well. Now there's different options out there for adjustable ball mounts. Some of the other ones that I've worked with is like the B&W Tow & Stow So that one's also gonna be an adjustable ball mount. It slides on a track so it never completely comes off of the assembly but it also goes up and underneath the truck. So if you're worried about the 1
