《Festivity》(2004) Premiered in the "An East-West Crossover Concert" at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in 2006.4.22., conductor Huichang Yan; And also performed by Singapore Chinese Orchestra in Jan 12, 13, 2007 at Singapore Conference Hall, conducted by Tsung Yeh; In the season of 'The First International Performance Season of the National Centre for the Performing Arts', performed by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in the 'From Classics to Modernity' concert at the Concert Hall of National Centre for the Performing Arts in Jan 27, 2008, conducted by Huichang Yan. And it performed in ‘The 36th Arts Festival of Hong Kong by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall, conducted by Huichang Yan on Feb. 27, 2008. The Chinese orchestra 《Festivity》 mainly put up the scene of festival days and the mood of the people in festival; Among the music theme, parts of materials draw from various folk music with civil different races of east, west, south, north of China and process to refine. Also means the whole country celebrates joyful festival. So called ‘Festivity’. Works of mining and fully mobilize national instrumental music and the national orchestra of expressive force, with national music material and modern composing technique combine, explore new context of national orchestral music, trying to create both national charm and the fashion of the times of the suit and the common people of national orchestral works.
