My recommended equipment for doing this: Irwin Self-Adjusting Wire Stripper: https://geni.us/WireStripper Great heat gun for the money: https://geni.us/HeatGun TEKTON 6943 Precision Pick and Hook Set: https://geni.us/PickSet Heat shrink tubing: https://geni.us/HeatShrinkTubing Scotch electrical tape (don't go cheap on tape!): https://geni.us/ScotchElectricalTape This is my method to doing a t-splice (splicing a new wire into an existing wire) without solder. It is better to solder but this method works great and is strong if you can't solder for whatever reason. If you cannot get heat shrink over the splice area, use one of the following: Self-fusing tape: https://geni.us/SelfFusingTape Liquid electrical tape: https://geni.us/LiquidElectricalTape Hope this helps someone.
