INST : @MASTER_ROOMI From the Planpraz station (1999 m) we reach, by a pleasant approach walk, the base of the very slender Clocher de Planpraz (2428 m). During the climb, which includes sometimes athletic and delicate passages of grade 5, we will climb the Petit Clocher, then the first, second and third Clocheton. The descent from each needle involves abseiling, but between the first and the second Clocheton a spectacular tyrolean allows us to cross between the two needles. Another option is to jump from one tower to another as the guide Antoine Cayrol did in 2017, but we do not recommend it. Once the technical elements of the climb are over, a path brings us back to the start of the ridge from where we descend to the station of Planpraz. This beautiful classic needle traverse is a must do for any keen climber because of it’s diversity and the numerous rope manipulations required. From Chamonix, Planpraz cable car, approach walk 45 minutes, climbing 3 hours approximately, descent 30 minutes. Good physical level is required. Ability to follow French 5c Familiarity with mountain terrain is recommended
